SKY Cell and SKY Acts

Our amazing young people and youth groups are really important to us at St Kea and we love the part young people play in our church family.

SKY (St KEa Youth) Youth group

The SKY Youth Group meets on a Friday evening (7-9pm) and is based at our All Hallows site. The young people split into age specific groups for games and teaching (Acts 11-14 and Cell 14-18).

Friday nights are often off site as our youth group ventures further afield to enjoy a host of different local activities.

The Bunker

Meeting on a Sunday evening this is a group designed for those in their sixth form years. Small Group Bible Study with a chance to ask any questions and explore the realities of being Christian in today's world.

This is run in the home of church members by our team of experienced leaders.

Sunday Sky ACTS

As part of the 11:00 St Kea All Hallows Service this is a group for 11-14 year olds. They leave the main service after about 20 minutes to enjoy age specific teaching and activities in our church hall on the All Hallows site.

Youth Weekend Away and Summer Camps

Every year (normally in the autumn term) our young people go away together for the Youth Weekend Away. This is a weekend in a local centre with amazing activities and great teaching. Each year we welcome a guest speaker and include discussion groups on issues especially relevant for young people today.

In addition to the St Kea weekend away we encourage our young people to attend one of a number of national Christian summer camps. Students and church members also help lead these. This year we have had young people attending Barnstable 2 (11-14) and Sparkford 2 (14-18) as well as Lee Abbey.

One 2 One Ministry

We try to support all our young people to live as the people that God created them to be. From time to time this involves working in small groups or One 2 One with young people, helping them with specific issues or challenges they are facing. This is a part of our youth work that some young people have found the most helpful and significant in their teenage years.

We are committed to the safety of all young people at St Kea. All our leaders have undergone safeguard checks (DBS) and we run regular safeguarding training for all youth team leaders.
