This Sunday - Global Growth

This Sunday we come to the end of our recent series in the first part of Acts. Over the last few weeks we have seen the risen Jesus commission his apostles to take the message of Jesus to the ends of the earth. We have seen the Holy Spirit empower the church to spread the gospel and, despite opposition, we have seen the church grow. This week, in an exciting passage, the same pattern continues as the word of God spreads.

We will also be welcoming lots of guests for an infant baptism at the start of the service.

Our usual groups Sunday Club groups will run, refreshments will be served before and after the service and a livestream will be broadcast.

This Sunday - Eat Together

If you missed the chance to sign up to host or attend a lunch somewhere but you would still like to join in then why not take the opportunity to invite someone from the church family round for lunch this Sunday?

Worship evening - open to all

Tonight the small groups who have been doing Equip this year will be gathering at St Kea Church for an evening of food, sung worship and commitment. The evening starts at 5.30pm for a BBQ and then we will be having time of praise and thanksgiving led by musicians from both congregations from 6.30pm.

This event is open to all, even if you have not done Equip, and will be a great opportunity to share how we can offer our lives in the service of God and also support others in the commitments they will be making.

New summer series

We are really excited about launching our new summer series called ‘The Flipped Kingdom’ which starts on Sunday 30th July. The series will follow Jesus and his disciples through the book of Matthew. As they travel around Galilee we will discover his upside-down, counter-cultural way to live. His kingdom is unlike any earthly kingdom.

Services will be all-age and have interactive activities for everyone to enjoy.

Come and hear about the vision for our church in the morning (each of our congregations will meet as normal), then join in with lunch, activities and fellowship at the vicarage in Kea, followed by an evening of praise and worship. Weekly Prayer Points

Each week we gather together information on a few things that we can join together in praying for:

1. This week we pray for all those working in the NHS locally, for wisdom, strength and for Christians to shine brightly.

2. We thank God for the work of Tearfund. This week we pray for Tearfund’s partners in Zambia, that God would work through them and continue to guide them in wisdom as they follow Jesus where the need is greatest.

3. We pray for St Allen Church and the local area which they serve.
