Vision Sunday - This weekSummer time is now drawing to an end and a new academic year stretches out before us. This Sunday is Vision Sunday when we launch this new year and look ahead. Just think what God might be about to do in your life and in the life of our church over the next 12 months. This new academic year we are adopting a main theme, a theme that will guide us over the next months. Our theme for the year is MORE. When Paul writes to the Ephesians he prays an amazing prayer for them. “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21) That prayer is going to be our prayer for the year ahead. That God might do more among us than we could possibly imagine and that as He does he might be glorified for ever and ever. This Sunday we are launching this theme in our our different services. Then after our services we will be gathering together at St Kea Vicarage for lunch together. This is a great way not only to launch the new year but to catch up with friends you might not have seen over the summer and to meet new friends as well. There will be live music, wonderful food - this is for the whole church family. This ‘Vision Sunday’ doesn’t finish there! In the evening we are going to gather together for a very special evening of praise at 7:30pm. This is being hosted at All Hallows but the band will be drawn from across our congregations.
