Mystery Revealed

Have you ever had that experience when you have been the last to find out something? Have you ever been the last to hear the latest news? This week we continue our new series “In Christ” and we are going to discover that far from being the last to hear - we are the first to hear the most important news in the world!

So come and join us as we discover the mystery that has been a secret for generations and that has now been revealed to us - and it is wonderful news. Even more staggering, this news is going to effect the whole of the cosmos. This week promises to be both perspective changing and deeply encouraging for all.

Groups for children and young people continue and refreshments will be served both before and after the service. Prayer ministry is also available after the service.

Please join us this evening as we meet together with the congregations from across Trinity for an evening of updates, stories of encouragement and hymns and prayers for each congregation. It will be held at Kea Church so do join us for refreshments from 7pm, with our evening together starting at 7.30pm. We look forward to seeing you then.

St Kea Musicians evening - POSTPONED

The informal get together/play together that we had planned for tomorrow evening will need to be postponed. Apologies for this. However, please save the date for the evening of 6th February when Andy Fenton from Music Ministry will be coming to Cornwall. This Saturday

The next Women’s Breakfast will be held at Kea Church on Saturday 23rd September, 8.30-10am. It is a wonderful opportunity to gather with other women from across our congregations and enjoy a delicious breakfast as well as hear more about the different women who followed Jesus.

Unity in the gospel

The Truro Diocesan Evangelical Fellowship has two larger meetings per year. It was a great joy and privilege to join together with other evangelicals within our Diocese back in February for our launch celebration. Our Autumn meeting comes at a time when there is uncertainty in both our Diocese and also nationally. Come and be encouraged to keep the gospel central and we think about reaching those who are often beyond our reach. It would be really useful to know numbers in advance so please do sign up by clicking the image above.

Volunteers and Donations needed

After nearly a year of running a pop-up cafe with Truro Foodbank on Friday mornings, Dockyard are extending their provision to Mondays at Hendra Hall starting this October. Many who are vulnerably housed or on low incomes have found our cafe a safe space for building friendships, encouraging one another, and exploring faith. Hendra Hall offers access for families and those with mobility issues and will enable Dockyard to grow the work they are currently able to offer.

The Dockyard Lounge at Hendra will run 10-2 every Monday for coffee and cake, lunch, a swap shop of toys, books and clothes, and toddler activities. They are looking for volunteers to sign up to weekly or monthly commitments of 3 or more hours: serving food and drink, welcoming and chatting with customers, overseeing toddler activities and interacting with families. They are also looking for donation of items and funds to help us set up including kitchenware, soft furnishings, toys and books.

Weekly Prayer Points

Each week there will be a few things for our church life and church family that we can join together in praying for:

1. Please pray for our young people who have either signed up or thinking about signing up for our Youth weekend away from 13-15 October. We thank you God for our new SWYM worker Scott as he starts his placement with us and please let us keep Carol in our prayers this week with the uncertainty of her SWYM placement, may she find peace in this situation and a guiding hand through this.

2. Heavenly Father, we bring before You our brothers and sisters in Saudi Arabia. We ask for their continued protection as they follow You in secret in a country where converts to Christianity are in danger of the death penalty. We thank You for recent reforms in Saudi Arabia and pray that these will be extended so that the light of the Gospel will be more visible. We ask in the Name of the Light of the World, our Lord Jesus Christ. (John 8:12)

3. Finally, thank you God for Andy Boorne and the congregation at Kenwyn Church. Let us pray that God would direct and be in the conversations and logistics around the plans regarding the process and landing of the Deanery plan for both St Allen and Kenwyn, and that this would be Godly. Please would He help us know his will and blessing as we seek to expand the children’s work at Kenwyn, and in for the children and staff at St Mary’s and SLE school. Can we also pray that God by His Holy Spirit would bless the connections and links within both Kenwyn and Rosedale, and will draw people to life and life in all its fullness.
