Eyes Opened

Join us this Sunday as we continue our new series in the book of Acts. This week, we are going to see Philip continuing his ministry to see the gospel spread. Now Philip encounters an Ethiopian and, wonderfully, the gospel continues to spread.

The command to preach the gospel to someone 'on the outside' reminds us that the gospel of Jesus is available to all. Join us as we unpack the implications of this wonderful moment in the Book of Acts. It will encourage and challenge how we see our lives today.

Children’s work will continue and refreshments will be served before and after the service. Livestream will go live from 10.20am.

Enable Returns

Next week our small groups start again as we look at the final term of the Enable program. The material for these sessions will be accessible from next week on the church website or by clicking the button below.

APCM Update

Thank you to everyone who came to our APCM last Wednesday as we praised God for his kindness to us last year and prayed for the year ahead in our church.

At the APCM meeting new PCC members were elected: Peter Emms, Martin Handford, Peter Batten, Miriam Molyneux and David Malindine. We also saw David Knights and Neil Bridle elected as Church Wardens.

During the meeting, we answered questions about our church finances and our plans/aspirations for future work.

As you will know, everything we do at Christchurch and St Kea is funded by our church family; and we want to give you more information about how your money is used in different areas of church life. So, starting next month, we will be including a monthly update on an area of church life, giving you feedback on what has been achieved with the funds we have had and also what could be done if more funds become available. We really hope this will help us see how our giving is helping us to see lives transformed.

If you have any questions please contact Sian Goddard, or a member of the finance team.

Trinity Camping Weekend

On Friday 12th July to Sunday 14th July we will be joining together from across Trinity Church for a wonderful weekend of camping fun at Tehidy Woods Campsite.

You can arrive from 4.30pm onwards on the Friday, pitching tents and building camp as we settle in for the evening. There will be opportunity for us to each cook our food and share in time together. The children will be able to play together in the field and we will enjoy being together.

Saturday will see different activities organised, such as a walk on the local beach, children’s wild-church and games for all. It will be very relaxed and there will be plenty of opportunities to chat with one another and share life together. On Saturday evening we will have songs around the campfire and marshmallow-toasting.

Sunday morning there will be an outside service with music and teaching, along with more wild-church activities for the children. After lunch we will pack up and head home.

There are BBQ facilities for cooking and a toilet block on the site. Please note that there are no shower facilities. There will be some power on the site but please do bring along battery powered lights, chargers etc.

Each pitch will only cost £30 for the whole weekend and you can sign up on the link below (you can arrive either Friday afternoon or Saturday morning). If you wish to come for just the day(s) there is an option to sign up but no cost will be required.

(Please note there will still be a usual service at St Kea on the Sunday morning for those not camping.)

Weekly Prayer Points

Each week there will be a few things for our church life and church family that we can join in praying for:

1. Thank You God for Your written word and the truths it contains. We pray that in the power of Your Holy Spirit, You would open our hearts and minds to the truths that You wish us to see and keep us faithfully speaking Your word.

2. Please ask God’s blessing for Barnabas Aid’s new initiative “Opportunity Africa”. The aim is to help Christian communities in Africa to become resilient and self-sufficient in the face of anti-Christian violence and increasingly frequent natural disasters caused by weather extremes. God willing, Opportunity Africa will include infrastructure such as water and solar power, start-up costs for sustainable agriculture and other livelihoods, local medical projects, and human capacity-building through training of many kinds. Pray that He will guide us in everything.

3. This week we pray for Kenwyn Church and our Curate and their leader Andy Boorne. Please pray for their JAM@4 older children’s group that will be meeting this Sunday. We thank you for all the children and families who attend this session and for the volunteers who help run the activities.
