This Sunday

This Sunday we gather to continue looking at the account of the early church in the book of Acts, and to be church together. We will look at Global Generosity in the penultimate sermon of our series, and spend time praying, singing and sharing fellowship together. Please do join us.

Our usual Sunday Club and Sunday Youth groups will meet. Refreshments will be served before and after the service, and a livestream will be broadcast.

This Saturday - Women’s Breakfast

The next Women’s Breakfast with our friends across the Trinity congregations is this Saturday 15th July at 8.30-10am. This will be a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a lovely breakfast while reflecting on great Bible truths together. We are continuing our series on ‘Jesus through the Eyes of the Women who met him’ and at this session will look at Jesus the Healer. Newcomers are particularly welcome – so please do use the sign-up link below to book a place if you can join us! 

This Sunday - Old Kea Service

Do join us this Sunday at Old Kea at 3.30pm for another ‘Open Air’ service in the beautiful grounds of Old Kea Church led by Malcolm Henderson.

Sunday 23rd July - Eat Together

On Sunday 23rd July we will be having our next ‘Eat together Sunday’. It’s a great opportunity to get to know others in our church either by hosting or being hosted for lunch. There will be a sign up sheet at the back of church this Sunday, or ask a member of our welcome team for more information.

Next Thursday - Equip Evening

On the 20th July the small groups that have been doing Equip this year will be gathering at St Kea Church for an evening of food, worship and commitment. The evening starts at 5.30pm for a BBQ and then we will be having time of praise and thanksgiving led by a wonderful band from both congregations from 6.30pm.

This event is open to all, even if you have not done Equip, and will be a wonderful opportunity to share how we can offer our lives in the service of God and also support others in the commitments they will be making.

New summer series

We are really excited about launching our new summer series called ‘The Flipped Kingdom’ which starts on Sunday 30th July. The series will follow Jesus and his disciples through the book of Matthew. As they travel around Galilee we will discover his upside-down, counter-cultural way to live. His kingdom is unlike any earthly kingdom.

Services will be all age and have interactive activities for everyone to enjoy.

Accommodation needed for a potential SWYM intern

St Kea has been a placement church for several South West Youth Ministry interns over the years. This has been a great blessing to our church family, and also to the interns themselves, as they sacrificially set aside time to train for youth ministry.

After no placement opportunities with us being available last year we are delighted to have a better chance of having an intern placed with us this year. The next stage in the process is to try and find a potential host for all (or part) of the year from September to July. If you have a spare room or annexe and might be able to help then please do get in touch for further details/to explore the possibility. No commitment is required at this stage.

An evening of fellowship and inspiration

After the hugely encouraging celebration and launch of the Truro Diocesan Evangelical Fellowship back in February, the date of the autumn meeting has been announced. Do come and share fellowship with other Christians across many churches in the Diocese and be inspired.

Weekly Prayer Points

Each week there will be a few things for our church life and church family that we can join together in praying for:

1. This week we pray for all our children and youth as they come to the end of another year at school. We pray for fun, refreshment and a close walk with Jesus throughout the holidays, and for them as they prepare for the next step of their education, whether this is moving year groups, schools or going to university/work. Please pray too for those going on summer camps or ventures to have a wonderful holiday and get to know Jesus better.

2. We thank God for the work of Compassion UK. Please pray as they equip and inspire those with a passion for speaking and an enthusiasm to see children released from poverty. Please also pray for sponsored children linked to St Kea.

3. We pray for St Clements Church as they reach out to their local community.
