This Sunday at St Kea - Wisdom Personified

After seven Sundays in the book of Proverbs, this week we come to the conclusion of the book where we see Wisdom personified. This will help us tie together many of the themes of the book and to see the beauty of God’s wisdom.

There will be refreshments before and after the service, a livestream, Sunday morning children’s and youth groups. Prayer Ministry will also be available after the service.

Next Sunday, on the 19th March, we will have a special service for Mothering Sunday, with applications and some fun for everyone as we celebrate and give thanks. This would be a great opportunity to invite family, friends and neighbours to church.

St Kea Away Day - still a chance to join

Although we have submitted our numbers for catering purposes we still have plenty of space in the Burrell Theatre at Truro School for anyone wanting to join us this Saturday morning at a reduced cost, and also for the afternoon activities. We are also still looking for one person to help out on the morning (free ticket!) so please do get in touch if this could be you.

Praise & Worship Evening

On Friday 31st March we will be meeting together for a praise and worship evening. It will be an opportunity to spend an extended time worshipping as a church family. Come along from 7pm for a hot drink ready for a 7:30pm start, and we will bring the evening to a close by 9pm.

Easter weekend

As in previous years we will have a Maundy Thursday evening service, an All Age Good Friday service at 10.30am, then the 2pm Good Friday Service of Reflection will lead into a prayer event that runs into Easter Saturday. On Easter Sunday morning there will be an 8.30am BCP Communion at Old Kea and a 10.30am All Age Communion service at St Kea church. More details to follow.

Weekly Prayer Points

This week’s prayer points:

1. Please pray for Kenwyn Church. Andy writes: “We want to thank the Lord for both our established and newer members, and that we now have our Interim leadership team. We ask for prayer that we will increasingly walk closer to Christ both individually and as a community. Also that the Holy Spirit would work through all the different things the congregation is involved in so that earth might be a little more like heaven. Lastly, but not least, prayer would be appreciated for those with health issues at the moment. Thank you! And God bless to all in the wider Trinity community!”

2. Please pray for our mission partners at Barnabus Fund, who support persecuted Christians worldwide. They are preparing to offer relief in the expected drought in the Horn of Africa alongside their work in other parts of the world such as Pakistan, Myanmar and Haiti.

3. Please pray for Turkey and Syria as the aftermath of the earthquake continues to affect lives. Please pray for Christians witnessing in the relief efforts (such as those of UFM).
