This Sunday

We continue our series in Acts and this week we see the Apostles' very clearly continuing Jesus' ministry as they are empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Our usual groups for children and young peopl re-start. Refreshments will be served after the service and a livestream will be broadcast.

SPREE - This Weekend

This weekend we are super excited to be taking a group of 20 young people, from St Kea, Christ Church and St John’s to SPREE SW. This is a Christian festival for youth groups, taking place at Westpoint Arena in Exeter with the theme for this year exploring the question - what does it mean to be a follower of Jesus?  Please be praying for our young people that they continue to grow in their knowledge and love of Jesus and are confident in wanting to give their lives to follow him. Please also pray that we continue to grow in fellowship as a group. 

Baptism Sunday

On the 9th July, in our Sunday morning service, we hope to have both some Baptisms and affirmation of Baptismal vows. If you haven’t yet been baptised, or would like to publicly affirm the vows that were made on your behalf as an infant then please consider getting in touch to chat further. St Kea Fellowship evening

The fellowship evening next week (28th June) will now be a St Kea fellowship evening hosted at Kea Church rather than a Trinity fellowship evening hosted at St John’s Church. In our current series in Acts we have read about the early church ‘devoted’ to ‘the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer’. Come and join us as we seek to embody each of those things next Wednesday evening.

Slip and Slide

Many of you will have seen the advertising for the Slip and Slide on the Killiow Estate, and maybe even a glimpse of the equipment as they set it up ahead of opening on the 1st July. We are co-ordinating a trip on Sunday 9th July (after the baptism service in the morning) but booking is direct with the company. Please note that this is a time slot open to the public and all children of any age need to be accompanied by an adult. The plan is to have a bring and share lunch for those staying after the baptism service and planning to join in with this.

Exciting new opportunity! Could you help?

As part of our commitment to serve those with additional needs, we are currently exploring the possibility of starting a new toddler group from September aimed at pre-school children with additional needs (and their parents/carers). This group would be similar to Stay & Play, and use some of the same set up and equipment but also be tailored to the needs of those who attend. In order to commit to this we would need some new volunteers at both groups. The plan is to run Cheeky Keas on a Monday afternoon and to continue to run Stay & Play on a Tuesday morning. Weekly Prayer Points

Each week there will be a few things for our church life and church family that we can join together in praying for:

1. This week we pray for all the youth who will be attending SPREE SW this weekend. We pray that their faith will grow and they will return excited to learn more about our creator God. We also thank God for all the leaders who have given up their time to support the youth at this weekend and they too will receive many blessings from the event.

2. We thank God for all the people at Christ Church who are thinking about being Baptised or affirming their Baptismal vows on the 23rd July. Thank you God for this wonderful opportunity to declare their faith in Christ.

3. We praise God for the Wallace Family and their amazing visit and times of training in Sierra Leone. Please pray that the Divine Expedition Training will further the outreach, church-planting and discipling that Pastor Philip and his team are doing in Tonka Limba region.
