Christmas Services at St Kea (All Hallows)

Join us for our All Age Crib Service this Saturday 24th December. A fun interactive Nativity. Come dressed up and invite family and friends. Refreshments will be served after the service.

On Christmas Day we will be gathering for an All Age Service. Again, this would be a great service to invite family and friends along to. There will be no Sunday groups and no refreshments before or after the service to allow people to fit it in more easily with other Christmas Day plans. Our livestream will also be broadcast.

If you’re not able to join us in person, or tune in over the livestream, then we’d like to wish you a very Happy Christmas!

Month of Prayer and Fasting

From time to time, the churches in Truro have come together specifically to pray for our city, for the advance of the gospel and for one another. We know that if we're going to see what we long to see then we can't afford not to pray. We also know that it's especially powerful when believers from many different backgrounds gather together to pray.

Early next year, there's going to be a city-wide month of prayer and fasting from 15th January to 12th February. There will be an in-person launch event on Monday 16th January at the Moresk Centre and a second event to mark the end of the month on 13th February at All Saints Highertown (both starting at 7:30pm).

Prayer request from Foodbank

Wendy Vincent writes -

On Friday there was an all time record when 102 people were fed in one session. Numbers are increasing at every session. Please give thanks that there is sufficient food to feed the ever-increasing number of people who are turning to the Foodbank for help. There is so much generosity as often over 1 tonne of donations are processed each session.

Please give thanks for the staff and volunteers who have risen to meet this challenge and continue to give excellent, caring and compassionate service.

We face challenges as staff, and volunteers are working far longer and harder than should reasonably be expected and are going far beyond the call of duty. They are working in premises that have many shortcomings and in conditions which are challenging from many different aspects. The need for premises that are fit for purpose is acutely urgent. Please pray for new premises which are fit for purpose, in the right location and affordable.

Women’s Breakfasts 2023

We had a lovely time last Saturday at the last Women’s Breakfast of 2022. Please do pop the dates for our 2023 programme in your diaries. We are excited to be looking at Jesus through the eyes of the women who met Him.

Calendars for 2023 on sale

Hanna Oakes, a member of our church family, designs postcards/artwork to help people reflect on/treasure/share scripture under the name Oakshed. These are available to buy at the back of church and now include 2023 Calendars. Worth considering for Christmas presents!

St Kea Away Day 11th March 2023

Last July, many from St Kea All Hallows came on our Away Day. We started at Epiphany House with two talks from Vaughan Roberts on Ephesians 1 and 4 and then enjoyed some time on the north coast.

The St Kea leadership team (Heather Alford, Hugh Barne, Ben Goddard, Martin Handford, Lucy Larkin and Hanna Oakes) are proposing that we repeat this in 2023 and we have chosen a date in March to avoid the busier summer months. We’d love some input and help in shaping this event so please do get in touch if you’d like to be on the planning team.

1. Please pray for all the services reamaining across Truro Trinity in this Christmas period.

2. Please pray our country as strikes continue. Pray that both sides will be able to meet and have meaningful talks that resolve these disputes.

3. Perhaps take the opportunity to give thanks for all that God has blessed us with this year.
