This Sunday - Palm Sunday All Age

Join us this Sunday as we begin thinking about the Easter story. We’ll be gathering together as all ages and reflecting on Jesus’ entry to Jerusalem as the King. There will be activities and engagement especially for the children as well as our band leading us in praise and time for us to pray together. The service is shorter than usual.

Refreshments are served both before and after the service and prayer is always available after the service; do ask other church members or speak to the service leader. Christ Church Truro meets at 9:30am in Archbishop Benson School TR1 1BN. Free parking available.

Our children’s groups resume on 23rd April.

Tonight - EQUIP Central - 7:30pm

Tonight (Thursday 30th March at 7:30pm) we are meeting in Starbucks for EQUIP Central. We have been thinking about the church over the last few weeks. Tonight at EQUIP Central we will be reviewing our thinking from this series and thinking about how we should be shaping the life of our church as a result of this teaching. During the evening, we will also be answering questions which our series on the church has raised.

This evening is a great way to end this part of the series and hear from one another. Free parking is available in Truro at all council car parks. This evening is open to all members of our church, whether you are part of an EQUIP group or not.

Saturday 8th April - Easter Family Fun

Join with others for an Easter outreach, a family fun event for all ages. You can bring friends, invite others or get involved yourself. To find out more about how you can get involved do contact Sam Payne, a member of our Christ Church family and our part-time Youth Worker.

APCM - Electoral Roll Applications

Our APCM is to be held on Wednesday 26th April at 7.30pm. If you are part of Christ Church and have not yet completed an Electoral Roll form it would be great if you could do so ASAP. The closing date for applications for this year is 2nd April. The form can be found on our website, using the link below. Being a member of the Electoral Roll means you can vote at our APCM for members to join our church council and for members to represent us on Deanery Synod.

Andy Boorne Commissioning

Shortly after Easter, Marc (our church leader) in his role as Oversight Minister for Trinity will be commissioning Andy Boorne for the role of Local Minister at Kenwyn Parish Church. Kenwyn Church are inviting everyone to join them for a service of Prayer and Praise. 30th April at 11am at Kenwyn Church. The service will be followed by a time of fellowship with refreshments and pasties.

Weekly Prayer Points

Each week there will be a few things for our church life and church family that we can join together in praying for:

1. Give thanks for this term’s EQUIP groups as we have looked at the church. Pray for our meeting this evening at Starbucks as we reflect on how we can increasingly be the church that Jesus is calling us to be.

2. Give thanks for our brothers and sisters at St Kea. Thank God for the recent outreach to local schools and pray for their upcoming outreach at Easter. Pray also for our outreach at Christ Church, especially for the Easer Family Fun afternoon and our service on Easter Day itself.

3. Please pray for Truro Foodbank. They report that, since 1st January, 19 tonnes of food has been received but over 26 tonnes has been given out. They have just 4 tonnes of stock left!
