New Summer Series

This Sunday we are really exciting to be launching our new summer series called ‘The Flipped Kingdom’.

This week we will be looking at the what Jesus says in comparison to what the world says about Trusting God.

Services will be all age and have interactive activities for everyone to enjoy. There will be refreshments served both at the beginning and end of the service as well as Prayer ministry.

There will be no livesteam over the Summer, but if you want to look back at previous services head over to our Youtube channel.

Host still needed

In order to have our SWYM placement student supporting our ministry with young people in the coming year, we need to find somehwere for her to live. We’d be really grateful for anyone who might consider this, either for the full stretch of September to June or for part of this time. Expenses for food and bills can be covered. Please contact the office to register interest and find out more details. Please also join us in praying for the right solution.

Save the date - 3rd September

Come and hear about the vision for our church in the morning (each of our congregations will meet as normal), then join in with lunch, activities and fellowship at the vicarage in Kea, followed by an evening of praise and worship. Gardening at the Vicarage

Ahead of ‘Vision Sunday’ on the 3rd September we would love some volunteers to come and help get the vicarage garden ready, cutting back brambles and pulling out nettles.

Please come along between 9am-12pm and bring with you gardening gloves, pruning equipment etc if you have them and sturdy shoes are recommended.

Small Groups

Small groups have now finished for the summer, but do join us for the launch our new study for the year called ‘Enable’ on Thursday 7th September.

Over the summer the church office will be open on a every Monday and Tuesday 9am-3pm.

Outside these hours any urgent matters please contact the minister on call. This week the minister’s are Will Harwood (25th-27th July) and Marc Baker (28th - 2nd Aug).

Weekly Prayer Points

Each week there will be a few things for our church life and church family that we can join together in praying for:

1. This week we pray for all who will be taking holiday, that they have refreshment and rest. We also pray for those across Europe vulnerable to extreme heat and wildfires.

2. We thank God for the work of the Barnabus Fund. They ask us to pray for the increased availability of Bibles in all languages. Please protect translators in their work, especially those in regions hostile to the Gospel. We pray that more Christians with limited access to Scriptures will have the joy of reading and listening to God’s Word in their native tongue, for we ask in the Name of the Living Word, our Lord Jesus Christ. (John 1:14)

3. We praise God for our friends at Christ Church as they meet at the Moresk Centre for the Summer Flipped Kingdom series.
