New Series Begins - The Global Gospel

Where is God?' This question, whether it is the curiosity of a child, the taunt of a sceptic or the cry of a bruised believer is one that we'll consider this Sunday as we resume our series in the Book of Acts.

Stephen's speech, as he stands on trial for blasphemy, shows the confidence of Jesus' followers that God has made Himself clear. Join us as we seek to share in that confidence.

Children’s groups will be starting again and refreshments will be served before and after the service. (Don’t forget your reusable cups!)

APCM - Next Wednesday 7pm

Join us next Wednesday (17th April) from 7pm for refreshments, followed by: an evening of praise; time spent in prayer together and news and updates about the life of our church. We will be hearing about the work ‘Trinity’ has been undertaking over the past year, looking to the future as a church and praying into that future.

In the meeting, we will also have a finance update from our church treasurer (Ben Goddard) as well as time answering questions. Alongside all that, there will be the usual elections of those who will serve as Churchwardens, PCC members and Deanery Synod. You can find the full agenda by following the link below.

Martin Handford will be stepping down as Church Warden at this APCM , having served our church in this role for many years. At the APCM we will have a chance to thank Martin and Catharine for all they have done to serve our church family. We are very pleased that David Knights is offering to stand for election as Church Warden (alongside Neil Bridle who is also standing to continue in this role). David has been a member of the Kea congregation for many years, along with his wife Sian and their two daughters.

We are also very thankful to Stephen Baird and Pete Emms who come to the end of their current term serving on the PCC. (This year is not a Deanery Synod election year although we do have one vacancy for the current Triennium). We are grateful to all those who have indicated they are wiling to stand for election to the PCC. Nomination forms for all the roles can be be found by following the link below. Do please pray ahead of our APCM - for all those who are going to offer to serve our church in different roles and for our church as we look to all that the next year will bring.

Prayer Evening - 25th April

On Thursday 25th April at 7.30pm we will be meeting together to pray for the work of our church. If you haven’t been to a prayer meeting before, do think about coming - we enjoy yummy cakes and drinks together and then hear about the latest updates about our church. We then turn to pray as a group or in smaller groups.

CC Small groups resume again the week beginning 29th April, where we will be looking at the final term of the Enable course.

Youth Ministry

"Many of you will have now met Lisa, who started work as our new part-time youth worker at the beginning of March. Originally from the Midlands, Lisa studied at Regents Theological College in Malvern and specialised in youth ministry. She arrives with a wealth of training and experience and has already enjoyed meeting lots of the young people.

Lisa will be appearing across a range of groups for secondary age youth and also helping us to develop and grow our ministry towards young people. Lisa has a daughter called Emma who has also joined our church family and they have both moved into Mylor Bridge in the last few weeks."

Sea Shanty Evening- 10th May

Everyone is welcome to a fundraising evening for our mission partner Mercy Rescue Trust on Friday 10th May at 7.30pm at St Kea Church led by Foresail Sea Shanty group. There will be lots of opportunities to sing along to the catchy tunes. Refreshments will be served during the interval, if you are able to donate a cake for this event please let Maggie Heddon know - her details are on ChurchSuite.

Donations will be collected on the evening.

We are excited to let you know about an upcoming event that we will be holding in July where you are invited to join in with a fun camping weekend at Tehidy Woods Campsite. Watch this space for more information and how you can sign up but until then Save the Date!

Weekly Prayer Points

Each week there will be a few things for our church life and church family that we can join together in praying for:

1. God of Grace: Empower us by your Holy Spirit this week that we may faithfully serve You and those around us.

2. We pray for Mercy Rescue Trust this week and all the families who work with abandoned babies. We pray that during this time in foster care the babies can thrive and find forever homes. We also pray for the upcoming Sea Shanty event fundraising money for them, so they can continue to make improvements to their facilities and provide for those babies most at need.

3. Father God we thank you for St Kea Church congregation and their Leader Hugh Barne and his family Grace, Issac and Joshua. Thank you for the opportunities they can hold in the church for such as Stay and Play and Trinity Youth. We pray this is a fruitful ministry to grow Your kingdom.
