This Sunday - Gospel Partnership Sunday

This Sunday is Gospel Partnership Sunday when we think about how we are supporting the work of the gospel locally, nationally and across the world. We are delighted that our Gospel Partner, Richard Wallace, is coming to preach and give us an update on his ministry. We will also be hearing a little about our other Gospel Partners and praying for them as well.

This Sunday our children’s groups will be meeting as usual. They will be continuing to think about Jesus being the King and, alongside crafts, games and activities, will be seeing how he heals the sight of the blind man,. These groups are for all children and young people. We also have a crèche for pre-school aged children.

Refreshments are served both before and after the service and prayer is always available after the service; do ask other church members or speak to the service leader. Christ Church Truro meets at 9:30am in Archbishop Benson School TR1 1BN. Free parking available.

This Sunday - Welcome Meeting

This Sunday, after our church service, we are hosting our next Welcome Meeting for anyone who is new to the Christ Church family. After the service, we will gather with refreshments and cake in one of the side rooms at Archbishop Benson School. Meet with our church leader Marc Baker, hear a little about our church family and find out about church life.

This Saturday - Women’s Breakfast

This Saturday, 25th March 8:30am, is our next Women’s Breakfast. Do consider joining with women from across our Trinity churches for delicious food and time to enjoy each other’ company. Sign up using the link below or on the front page of the St Kea website.

EQUIP Central - Next Thursday 30th 7:30pm

On Thursday 30th March at 7:30pm we are meeting in Starbucks for EQUIP Central. We have been thinking about the church over the last few weeks, about how it is built and what role we have to play in it.

At EQUIP Central, we will be reviewing our thinking from this series and reflecting together on how we should be shaping the life of our church as a result of this teaching. During the evening, we will also be answering questions that our series on the church has raised.

This evening is a great way to end the series and hear from one another. Free parking is available in Truro at all council car parks. This evening is open to all members of our church, whether you are part of an EQUIP group or not.

Easter Family Fun

Join with others for an Easter outreach, a family fun event for all ages. You can bring friends, invite others or get involved yourself. To find out more about how you can get involved do contact Sam Payne, a member of our Christ Church family and our part-time Youth Worker.

APCM - Electoral Roll Applications

Our APCM is to be held on Wednesday 26th April at 7.30pm. If you are part of Christ Church and have not yet completed an Electoral Roll form it would be great if you could do so ASAP. Closing date for applications for this year is 2nd April. The form can be found on our website, using the link below. Being a member of the Electoral Roll means you can vote at our APCM for members to join our church council and for members to represent us on Deanery Synod.

‘Word Alive’ Livestream

For those who might be interested, the main sessions throughout each day of the Easter Word Alive gathering will be available for free on their Youtube channel, starting on the evening of the 1st April. Click on the image above to see the session dates/times and where to tune in.

Weekly Prayer Points

Each week there will be a few things for our church life and church family that we can join together in praying for:

1. Give thanks for the links we enjoy with local schools in Truro and the opportunity to run Easter Family Fun activities. Pray for Sam and the team as they bring together the plans for the Easter session.

2. Give thanks for the St Allen church family and pray for them as they seek to reach out with the good news of the gospel over Easter.

3. Pray for all our Gospel Partners in advance of Gospel Partnership Sunday. Pray especially for Mercy Rescue Trust charity which runs a baby rescue centre, foster care and home-based care in Kitale, Kenya. Please pray for their finanical needs as costs continue to increase and the country as a whole struggles with economic hardship.
