This Sunday - New Series

We launch our new series this week - The Global Gospel. There have never been more Christians in the world than there are today. Christians now live across the world, from east to west. This amazing gospel growth is the work of the Lord Jesus as He has built His church in the power of His Spirit and it all started in one room in Jerusalem.

So, join us this Sunday as we begin to think about this wonderful gospel advancing. We will learn about what Jesus is doing in these last days, marvel at God’s goodness and see what it is to be the church of Jesus today. This week our adventure begins!

Refreshments will be served both before and after the service, our Sunday groups for young people resume and a livestream will be broadcast.

Mercy Rescue Trust

Following on from last week’s notice about monies raised at the Sea Shanty event in aid of Mercy Rescue Trust, a mistake was made on the final total raised. The amount should have read £1,490.

Lost property

There are a few items of lost property that have been collected at church. These will be laid out at the back of church on Sunday. Please do come and have a look to see if you recognise any of the items.

Join us next Wednesday evening, 17th May, for our St Kea fellowship evening. To tie in with our new series in Acts we will have a global focus, with updates from mission partners and also from areas of ministry across Trinity. It will offer a chance to humble ourselves before God in prayer and to praise God in song. Refreshments from 7pm, programme starts at 7.30pm.

Eat Together Sunday - 21st May

Our next ‘Eat together Sunday’ will be on Sunday 21st May. It is a great time to share fellowship together and meet new people in our church. A sign up sheet will be on the welcome desk at the back of church this week for anyone who would like to either sign up to host or be hosted. As part of this we will host a Newcomers lunch in the church hall.

Upcoming events and dates for your diary

Sunday 28th May - 10.30am - St Kea and Christ Church altogether service to celebrate Pentecost. This service will be held at St Kea Church.

Saturday 17th June - 12pm - 3pm - Kea School and Church Fete

Weekly Prayer Points

1. This week we give thanks for our young people, for signs of growing faith and for each one connected to our church family. We pray for all those doing assessments of one kind or another, that they would know God’s strength and feel secure in His love regardless of how they fare.

2. We also give thanks for St Allen Church, one of the churches in our Trinity Benefice. St Allen is a small church near Zelah, just outside Truro. Pray for the church warden (David Hare) who is leading the church and continue to pray for the appointment of a Local Minister for that congregation. Give thanks for their recent outreach over the Coronation Weekend.

3. Please pray for the work of the Barnabus Fund. Pray for the safety of all minority religious communities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and ask that our Christian brothers and sisters will know the Lord’s peace in their hearts. Ask that their faith will inspire them to pure and blameless conduct and to shine brilliantly as examples among the majority community (Philippians 2:15).
