This Sunday 10:30am - Carol Service

This Sunday, the 18th December at Christ Church, is our special All-Age Carol Service. Meeting at the slightly later time of 10:30am, this will be a good opportunity to invite family and friends to celebrate with us.

As we sing the Christmas Carols and hear the Christmas readings, we will remind ourselves of the events of that first Christmas. There will be a chance for children to dress up and take part in our ‘scratch nativity’. We will have a larger band, especially arranged for the service, and, during this service, Marc will be giving a short all-age address on why Jesus is the best news in all the world.

It is going to be great fun, so do invite friends and family to come along. We look forward to seeing you there.

Christmas Day Celebration at Christ Church

A unique way to start your Christmas Day Celebrations, at 10:00am we will be gathering as a church family on Swanpool Beach (as we can not meet in our usual location). The event is going to be great fun for the whole family including any guests and friends who might join us.

Warm refreshments will be served as we arrive. There is going to be an amazing scavenger hunt to find the secret of Christmas and a short interactive talk will focus our hearts on the birth of our Saviour. There is even the possibility of an exciting special guest joining us from afar… along with live music, it is going to be a Christmas Day extravaganza like no other!

After this short celebration some will want to get home, others might like to enjoy a stroll along the beach or visit one of the cafes that will be open. We can’t wait to see you there.

Please note, there will be no service at Church Church on Sunday 1st January.

Christmas Day Hospitality

One of our congregation will be alone this Christmas Day, and it would be wonderful if we could offer them a home to go and join in with their celebration. If you feel you could offer this please speak to Natalie Gavan.

CAP Christmas Appeal and Lantern’s Christmas Party

Last week was our Christians Against Poverty Christmas Party and Natalie (our CAP Centre Manager) fills us in on all that happened.

“I am writing to say an enormous thank you for your abundant generosity. Together with your donations and the kindness of others, we raised over £2500 plus hundreds of pounds of donated hampers.The Christmas party was a huge success - thanks be to God and of course  our wonderful team! We had so many guests come to our party, and after a short talk on the meaning of Christmas four people recommitted their lives to Jesus and others took steps closer. Praise God for he heard our prayers and answered in so many wonderful ways.

New in 2023 - Women’s Breakfasts

Do put the dates for our 2023 breakfasts into your diaries. We are excited to be looking at Jesus through the eyes of a whole host of women who met Him. As well as looking at their stories, each month we will eat together, share life and encourage one another.

Weekly Prayer Points

Each week there will be a few things for our church life and family that we can join together in praying for:

1. Pray for all the Christmas services going on at the different churches of Trinity Truro. Pray that visitors will feel welcomed and that God would open their hearts to the Gospel message.

2. Please pray for the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Pray that basic services will be able to function so that those still living in war-torn areas will have heat, food and water. Pray for an end to this war so rebuilding can begin in 2023.

3. Please pray for all our Gospel Partners. Pray that the coming year will bring new hope as they spread the wonderful news of Jesus to all they come into contact with.
