This Sunday - Remembrance Sunday

Join us this Sunday for an All Age Service, suitable for families, that gives a chance to stop and remember all those who have been affected by armed conflict. We’ll be giving thanks to God for all those who have given their lives in the service of freedom and peace. Just before 11am we will move outside and observe a two minute silence before representatives of various organisations lay wreaths.

Refreshments will be served before and after the service and our livestream will aim to capture both parts of the service.

Wreath making event

To kickstart our Christmas celebrations this year, St Kea are hosting a wreath-making evening. Designed to bring guests to, this relaxed and enjoyable event will include a wreath-making demonstration, time to create your own beautiful wreath, and a short interview with a Christian about what Christmas means to them. Mulled wine and sweet and savoury canapes will be served, and materials to make the wreaths will be provided. Tickets are £15 and can be bought on the church website or by clicking the image above. Numbers are limited, so do book early to secure places for you to bring guests!

In order to provide the materials for people to make wreaths, we’d be very grateful for any contributions of greenery that you might have growing at home. We are looking for: Fir, Pine, Spruce, Cedar, Yew, Box, Privet, Bay, Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Pittosporum, Euonymus, Other variegated leaves, Laurel, Ivy. Please contact Grace, Heather or Hanna if you can offer something.

Fellowship evening - Wednesday 16th

Even if you have never come to one of our prayer meetings before, please do consider coming to join us next Wednesday evening. As last time, we will have cakes and refreshments from 7pm and then be hearing from a mission partner and different ministries. We’ll also pray in a way which allows people to join in using different ways.

Operation Christmas Child - until 14th Nov

Thank you so much for the donated items. Young people at St Kea will be packing these into showboxes next week. There is still time until this Sunday to pop an extra bar of soap, packet of pens, pair of gloves etc in your shopping basket and bring them into church. The last opportunity to drop off packed boxes is Sunday 20th but you can also drop off anytime during the week before that, when the church office is open.

CAP Christmas appeal

A reminder about the opportunity to donate to our Christmas appeal so we can make life a little easier this Christmas for CAP clients.

Closing date is 1st December.

You could donate: Supermarket Vouchers, Argos Vouchers or a Hamper by handing in to the Church Office.

Women’s Breakfast Saturday 3rd December

You are very welcome to join us for our final Women’s Breakfast of the year. Christmas can often trigger a wide range of emotions! So right at the start of the festive season, we will take some time together to reflect on the true hope of Christmas and discover in the Psalms what brings true “Joy to the World!”.

Martin’s Men’s Breakfast
