Mothering Sunday at St Kea

This Sunday join us for an All-Age service, relevant to everyone, as we think about God’s care for us, express thankfulness to those who have shown us care and think about how everyone has the opportunity to care for others. We know that, for some people, Mothering Sunday can be a hard or challenging Sunday and we will be mindful of that in the service. This is a great opportunity to invite friends or family to join our gathering, please join us in praying for guests and visitors across Trinity churches this week.

Refreshments will be served both before and after the service, a livestream will be offered and prayer ministry will be available after the service. Next Sunday our groups for children and young people will resume.

APCM - Electoral Roll Applications

Our APCM is to be held on Wednesday 26th April at 7.30pm. If you are part of St Kea and have not yet completed an Electoral Roll form it would be great if you could do so asap. Closing date for applications for this year is 2nd April. The form can be found on our website using the link below.

Forms can be returned via email to pccsecretary@stkea.org.uk or return hard copies to the Church Office.

Creation Care Whatsapp group

Catharine Handford writes: “As part of our ongoing commitment at St Kea to try to serve our planet and our community better we have started up a “Creation Care” WhatsApp group. This facility can be accessed via the WhatsApp application on your mobile phone, tablet or PC.

Please note that it is open ONLY to church family members. It is part of the St Kea Leadership Team's commitment to seeking greener initiatives and in line with our aims in our partnership with the Kernow Green Churches award and the A Rocha initiatives to further protect our environment. The aim of this WhatsApp group is to share information and ideas, provide links to articles and individuals which may help us, and to encourage each other in this journey to make positive changes to how we live and care for the environment. So if you have any ideas on recycling, energy saving or other greener initiatives why not join in and share with your fellow church family members.”

Praise & Worship Evening

On Friday 31st March we will be meeting together for a praise and worship evening. It will be an opportunity to spend an extended time worshipping as a church family. Come along from 7pm for a hot drink ready for a 7:30pm start, and we will bring the evening to a close by 9pm.

Easter weekend

As in previous years we will have a Maundy Thursday evening service, an All Age Good Friday service at 10.30am, then the 2pm Good Friday Service of Reflection will lead into a prayer event that runs into Easter Saturday. On Easter Sunday morning there will be an 8.30am BCP Communion at Old Kea and a 10.30am All Age Communion service at St Kea church. More details to follow.

Weekly Prayer Points

This week’s prayer points:

1. Give thanks for our recent series thinking about wisdom. Pray that we would be a church that puts all we have been learning from God’s word into practice, in our life together and beyond.

2. Give thanks for St Clement Church and the ministry taking place. Pray especially for the ministry at St Clement for those who have been bereaved. Pray that others would come to know the love and comfort of Christ.

3. Pray for the Wallace family. Richard Wallace has had a good trip to Cuba and Pioneer Conference helping some delegates from Central America recently and will be joining us for Gospel Partnership Sunday on the 26th March.
