This Sunday - New Series

We are starting a new series this Sunday, in the build up to the coronation of King Charles. Over the next few Sundays we will be thinking about Jesus our King and what the Bible has to teach us about the nature of His rule and His kingdom. This week we are going to think about the blessings that King Jesus brings to His people.

This Sunday, our children’s groups are up and running again for the new term. Over the next few weeks, our Sunday Club are going to be following God’s people as they journeyed to the promised land.

Refreshments are served both before and after the service and prayer is always available after the service; do ask other church members or speak to the service leader.

Next Wednesday 7pm - APCM

There are no EQUIP groups next week. Instead, on Wednesday (26th April), we join together as a whole church for our APCM. There are refreshments served from 7pm, do come and talk together with others. Then from 7:30pm we will spend time praising God as the band lead us, we will be praying for the life of our church and hearing news about all that has taken place in the life of our church.

Our church activities are structured around five E’s and the APCM will be a great chance to hear what’s being going on over the past year and to look ahead as we seek to be Engaged with the world all around us and committed to Evangelism as we share the good news of Jesus with those who do not know Him yet. We want to see all Christians Established in their faith, growing deeper as they seek to live for Jesus and Equipped for the unique life God calls them to live. We are so thankful for everything that has Enabled ministry over 2022 and want to remain humbly dependant on our Gracious God for the future.

As you read them, you will see many of the things that God has been doing through the different members of our church; we are so thankful to each person who has served our church family.

At our APCM we will be holding our elections for the PCC and Deanery Synod. Nomination forms are also available on the same page of the website. Do pray for those who are thinking about standing.

EQUIP Next Sessions - Update

EQUIP groups met for the new term this week and, although there are no EQUIP Groups next week week because of the APCM, you can look at the timetable for this term by clicking the link below.

We would love some cakes to serve before the APCM next Wednesday 26th April. On Friday 28th April there is a Sea Shanty event to support Mercy Rescue and Maggie Heddon is looking for volunteers to make a cake for this event as well.

Andy Boorne Commissioning

Shortly after Easter, our church leader Marc (in his role as Oversight Minister for Trinity) will be commissioning Andy Boorne for the role of Local Minister at Kenwyn Parish Church. Kenwyn Church are inviting everyone to join them for a service of Prayer and Praise. 30th April at 11am at Kenwyn Church. The service will be followed by a time of fellowship with refreshments and pasties.

Weekly Prayer Points

Each week there will be a few things for our church life and church family that we can join together in praying for:

1. Please pray for our APCM next Wednesday, for us to have thankful hearts as we remember God’s faithfulness to us and humble hearts as we commit our plans to Him.

2. Give thanks for St John’s, for all the opportunities they had as a church over Easter (at services and Messy Church) and for the recent Lent course. Please pray for the continued growth of ministry to the people of Truro.

3. Please pray for the work of Compassion UK, one of our mission partners, who seek to be Christ Centred, Church Based and Child Focused as they work across 25 different countries. Compassion are asking their supporters to pray about food insecurity at the moment. In the last two years, the number of people facing severe food insecurity has doubled and now, globally, one in 10 people are going to bed hungry each night.
