This Sunday - Advent series begins

We are excited to start our new Advent series across Trinity Church. The first Nine Lessons and Carols service took place in Truro at 10 pm on Christmas Eve 1880 and 142 years later we are going to look at elements of these nine lessons and carols, focusing our attention on the wondeful opening verses of John’s gospel. Because this series is intended to be available across Trinity Church, Marc will start the series on a video clip which we will watch together in the service. We will also celebrate Holy Communion. Sunday Club and Sunday Youth are running again. Refreshments will be served before and after the service and our livestream will also be broadcast.

Fellowship evening - tonight from 7pm

We will start at 7pm for cake and refreshments, followed by singing, updates on various ministries and some time for prayer. As part of our fellowship evening, Wendy Vincent will be sharing news from Truro Foodbank and helping us to pray for them in the lead up to Christmas.

Old Kea Service this Sunday

There will be a service at Old Kea this Sunday, 20th November at 3:30pm, all are welcome.

Wreath making event

Only just over a week now until our wreath-making evening! Designed to bring guests to, this relaxed and enjoyable event will include a wreath-making demonstration, time to create your own beautiful wreath, and a short interview with a Christian about what Christmas means to them. Mulled wine and sweet and savoury canapes will be served, and materials to make the wreaths will be provided. Tickets are £15 and can be bought on the church website or by clicking the image above.

In order to provide the materials for people to make wreaths, we’d be very grateful for any contributions of greenery that you might have growing at home. We are looking for: Fir, Pine, Spruce, Cedar, Yew, Box, Privet, Bay, Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Pittosporum, Euonymus, Other variegated leaves, Laurel, Ivy. Please contact Grace, Heather or Hanna if you can offer something.

Cornwall Children’s Clothes Bank Appeal

Women’s Breakfast Saturday 3rd December

You are very welcome to join us for our final Women’s Breakfast of the year. Christmas can often trigger a wide range of emotions! So right at the start of the festive season, we will take some time together to reflect on the true hope of Christmas and discover in the Psalms what brings true “Joy to the World!”.

Many of you will have heard the news that Ann Amos fell asleep in Christ early last Sunday. There will be a Thanksgiving Service for Ann Amos here at St Kea, All Hallows on Monday 28th November at 2:30pm.

Weekly Prayer Points

This week’s prayer points:

1. Pray for the Advent Series starting this week. Pray that God would soften hearts and minds to receive Jesus, the Word made flesh.

2. Please pray for Truro Food bank as they continue to serve those in desperate need. Pray that they would be blessed with generous donations over the Christmas period.

3. Please continue to pray for St Allen’s as they wait for a new minister. Pray that they would be supported at this time.
