This week - Content to Give

Many of us feel uncomfortable talking about money and lots of us feel uneasy about money in various ways. As we go through our lives we are likely to go through different seasons of financial comfort and discomfort. The Bible has lots to say about money, both as a blessing and a danger. This Sunday we will unpack some of this as we continue thinking about generosity and seek contentment. 

Groups for children and young people continue, a livestream will be available and prayer ministry will be on offer. Refreshments will be served both before and after the service, so do join us if you can.

As we continue reflecting on last Sunday’s sermon, and look ahead to the next, then this testimony (6mins) might be useful thing to watch or to have playing in the background in a suitable moment:

St Kea Fellowship Evening - tonight!

It’s not to late to sign up for our Fellowship Evening this evening where there will be sung worship, updates from various ministry areas and times of prayer. This is our small groups/Enable activity this week and gathering to pray is a vital part of our life together. There is no pressure to pray out loud and we try to provide different ways of engaging with prayer. Come from 7pm to share a meal together, and just before 7.30pm to join in refreshments before we start.

Lent Course - St John’s Church

St John’s Church in Truro are running a video led daytime Lent Course called ‘Hope Explored’ for three evenings during February and March. This course examines the themes of ‘Hope, Peace and Purpose’ through the lens of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection.

Wendy Vincent from Truro Foodbank writes “Our stocks are at an all time low and donations to supermarkets have decreased markedly so we're having to buy in more food than ever. If you feel you can donate food this can either be dropped off at the back of Kea Church or taken to Unit 15b, Threemilestone Industrial Estate, Truro TR4 9LD on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30 to 11:30am. Weekly Prayer Points

Each week there will be a few things for our church life and church family that we can join in praying for:

1. Thank you God for demonstrating your love and generosity towards us. Help us to dwell on what a gospel shaped life looks like for us and how we can be generous with our money, time and skills.

2. This week we prayer for the work of the Barnabus Fund who give hope and aid to suffering Christians around the world. We particularly pray for those caught in current conflicts around the world, especially those enduring targeted persecution because they believe in You. Please give your people the peace that the world cannot give.

3. Thank you for the congregation of St Allen Church. We pray for those who lead there. Please bless the ministry of that church as they seek to be led by Your Holy Spirit.
