This Friday - All Age 9:30am

We are looking forward to our all-age Good Friday service this Friday. We will have band-led music, interaction for all ages, activities and reflection - as we consider all that Jesus has done for us on the cross. The cross sits at the centre of our faith - the place where we see God’s love, His glory, the source of our forgiveness and life. Come and join us as we celebrate and reflect together.

This is an amazing way to start Good Friday and to set our focus for Easter Weekend. This is also a great service to invite family and friends along to. Refreshments are served both before and after our gathering.

This Sunday - All Age 9:30am

Join us for our Easter Sunday extravaganza. The Bible says that being a Christian would be a waste of time without the resurrection . But people ask, ‘Did the resurrection even happen? Where is the evidence? What difference does it really make now?’ Join us as we explore these questions and more in our all-age interactive service.

There will be activities for children, band-led worship and we will be giving thanks to Jesus for His gift of life. You never know, there might even be a special Easter Egg Hunt to take part in…

Refreshments are served both before and after the service and prayer is always available after the service; do ask other church members or speak to the service leader.

Also Over Easter Weekend

There are lots of other things taking place at Christ Church this Easter Weekend. On Maundy Thursday, all those who have booked in are joining with our friends from St Kea for a special meal. Then, on Saturday, why not join with others for our Easter Family Fun sessions at Trelander Community Hall from 11AM-2PM?

Next Sunday - He Is Risen

Next Sunday (16th April), at Christ Church we are continuing to think about the resurrection of Jesus. Did you know that Jesus appeared to hundreds of people after he rose from the dead - and this ‘gospel’ of the resurrection is what saves us? In this all-age service we will be thinking about the reality of this salvation. Why not have a look at 1 Corinthians 15:1-11 in advance for yourself?

This is the last of our interactive all-age services before our children’s groups resume on Sunday 23rd April.

EQUIP Next Sessions - Update

At the moment EQUIP is on pause for our Easter break. EQUIP groups will begin again on the week beginning 16th April. This term brings us to the final two questions and lead up to our commissioning evening at the start of the summer.

APCM - Wednesday 26th April

Join us for the APCM at St Kea on Wednesday 26th April, 7pm for coffee and cake before the meeting starts at 7:30pm. A great chance to hear what’s being going on over the past year and to look ahead.

Thank you to our PCC (Parochial Church Council) and all those on the PCC who helped prepare these documents. As you read them, you will see many of things God has been doing through the different members of our church.

We are so grateful for our Trustees (PCC Members) and our Deanery Synod Reps. At our APCM we will be holding our elections for the PCC and Deanery Synod. Do pray for those who are thinking about standing. Nomination forms are also available on the same page of the website.

Andy Boorne Commissioning

Shortly after Easter, our church leader Marc (in his role as Oversight Minister for Trinity) will be commissioning Andy Boorne for the role of Local Minister at Kenwyn Parish Church. Kenwyn Church are inviting everyone to join them for a service of Prayer and Praise. 30th April at 11am at Kenwyn Church. The service will be followed by a time of fellowship with refreshments and pasties.

Weekly Prayer Points

Each week there will be a few things for our church life and church family that we can join together in praying for:

1. This week we are celebrating the heart of our faith as we think about the cross and resurrection of Jesus. We hope you get to spend a little time, in-between everything that might be going on in life, giving thanks for this glorious salvation. Take time on your own, together as a family and with your church family, to marvel again at all Jesus has done for us.

2. Give thanks for the opportunities we have to tell others about the life Jesus offers this Easter. Continue to pray for friends or family who might join us for our Easter services across Trinity. Pray also for the Family Fun Day at Trelander Community Centre.

3. Please pray for the term ahead at Christ Church. As Easter soon gives way to the summer term, pray for our new series on ‘Kingship’ and also our series walking together through the early chapters in the book of Acts. Pray also for the growth of our church family. Pray for our Children’s and Youth activities. Pray also for the life of our EQUIP Groups.
