New Summer Series

This Sunday we continue in the summer series called ‘The Flipped Kingdom’.

This week we will continue looking at how Jesus challenges the ways of the world with His radical teaching on who God welcomes.

The service will be suitable for all ages and have interactive activities. There will be refreshments served both at the beginning and end of the service as well as prayer ministry.

There will be no livestream over the summer. If you aren’t able to join us in person and are looking for somewhere to tune in then why not try the online service below this Sunday.

Ministry opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join an existing team developing new ministry reaching out to the youth and families within the Powder Deanery.

This post is grant funded by the Lowest Income Communities Funding (LICF) from the Church of England.

Save the date - 3rd September

Come and hear about the vision for our church in the morning (each of our congregations will meet as normal), then join in with lunch, activities and fellowship at the vicarage in Kea, followed by an evening of praise and worship. Gardening at the Vicarage

Ahead of ‘Vision Sunday’ on 3rd September we would love some volunteers to come and help get the vicarage garden ready, cutting back brambles and pulling out nettles.

Please bring along gardening gloves, pruning equipment etc if you have them. Sturdy shoes are recommended.

Small Groups

Small groups have now finished for the summer, but do join us for the launch our new study for the year called ‘Enable’ on Thursday 7th September.

Autumn Gathering of the Truro Diocesan Evangelical Fellowship

After the celebratory launch of the Diocese Evangelical Fellowship (DEF) back in February the committee have announced the next meeting which will take place on Saturday 30th September. There will be a panel of speakers chosen to inspire us including the include the Rev’d Rob Fowler and our very own Natalie Gavan. Christians from across churches in the Diocese of Truro are invited to join, whether lay or ordained. You can sign up to attend on Churchsuite or by clicking the image above.

Over the summer the church office will be open every Monday and Tuesday 9am-3pm.

Weekly Prayer Points

Each week there will be a few things for our church life and church family that we can join together in praying for:

1. This week we pray for opportunities to talk to others about our faith and share the gospel with others.

2. We praise God for the work of Mercy Rescue Trust. We pray that the children they rescue can be reunited with their own families with continued help from MRT. Please pray as they fund the children’s education and supply food on a regular basis.

3. We thank God for Kenwyn Church and the way Andy Boorne is serving the church and community there.
