New Series - Words of Life

This Sunday we begin a three-part series called ‘Words of Life’. Together, we’ll explore different parts of the Bible as we ask: what place should the Bible have in our life as a church?

In a world of exciting visuals, endless scrolling, and bite-sized content, does the Bible’s seemingly ancient, word-based way of speaking still connect? And in a culture where Christians are often mocked for “taking the Bible literally,” is it still wise—or even possible—to take it so seriously?

Refreshments will be served before and after all our services and a livestream will be broadcast. Children and young peoples groups will resume. Prayer ministry will be available after the services.

Celebrate at Old Kea - This Sunday

Old Kea Church will be holding a Service of Celebration this Sunday (27th April) at 3.30pm - a simple service with songs of praise, a short history of Old Kea and of course tea and cakes afterwards. We would love people to come and celebrate with us: you would be very welcome!

Afternoon tea, refreshments and conversation

You are warmly invited to come along on Monday 28th April for a cuppa and chat with others in our community.

Tea, coffee and cake will be provided.

We are meeting in St Kea Church Hall from 2-4 p.m.

Weekly Prayer Points

Each week there will be a few things for our church life and church family that we can join in praying for:

1. Almighty God, we thank you for the gift of your word. May it be a lamp to our feet, a light to our paths, and strength to our lives. Take us and use us to love and serve all people in the power of the Holy Spirit and in the name of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

2. We pray this week for the persecuted church, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa church. We ask that Christians here are given strength and courage to persevere in faith and will increasinly be treated with dignity and respect through protection and justice.

3. Thank you for all the children we have in our church. We pray as we start our new term, and for those with assessments that they may stay close to you and know Your peace. We also praise and thank You for the children’s team who plan and teach the children each week.
