This Week - Giving Sunday

This Sunday do join us at Kea Church for a service which we set aside once a year to think about what God might be calling us to do with our finances. We aim to give thanks for God's generous provision over the last year, and all that has been possible, and to ask him to keep providing for us. We'll turn to Jesus' teaching about money and think about what might be possible in the coming year. Join us to celebrate all that God has given and to pray and reflect on what might be possible as we look ahead.

Refreshments will be served before and after the service, groups for children and young people restart and prayer ministry will be available after the service.

Fellowship Evening - tonight

Please join us this evening (22nd May) for our Fellowship Evening.

We will begin in sharing in a meal together from 7pm and then at 7.30pm we will hear updates from various areas of church life and our gospel partners, and bring our requests to God as we pray together.

Bring and Share - Sunday 9th June

After the service on the 9th June we would love you to stay and join with us in a ‘Bring and Share Lunch’

It is a wonderful opportunity to build relationships spend time together. We’d be very grateful if you are able to bring something that can be shared with the church family, doesn’t need to be elaborate or substantial. Drinks, plates and cutlery will be provided. In conjuction to the Creation Care team we would like to commend the ‘LOAF principles’ and thought that it might be an opportunity to try using them at this lunch. The acronym stands for ‘ Locally produced, Organically grown, Animal friendly or Fairly traded. More informaton is available online.

Volunteers Needed

Dockyard are still in great need for volunteers to help at the summer festival. There are a variety of different roles available. We need to know by the the end of May to determine whether we can go ahead. Martin’s Men’s Breakfast - This Saturday

The next Men's breakfast will be this Saturday 25th May at 9am at Miss Mollys in Pool. As Martin has to give numbers attending please can you let him know by Thursday lunchtime if you will be coming. Thank you.

Kea Summer Fete -15th June

Kea Summer Fete will be held this year on Saturday 15th June from 12-3pm on Kea School field. Kea Church share the running of this event and have responsibility for the refreshments tent and the plant/toy/book stall.

Volunteers needed - We would really love some volunteers to help serve refreshments on the day. If this is something you can do please get in touch with Sian Goddard (details on Churchsuite)

We also need some cakes and traybakes for the stall, so if you or someone you know loves baking and could provide us with some delicious bakes please can you drop them off in the church hall from Friday 14th June or bring them on the day.

We are also looking for any good quality toys/books to sell, so if you can donate anything towards this stall please bring to the church hall leading up to the event.

Lastly we will be selling plants so if you would like to contribute to this stall do let us know asap.

The fete is a wonderful opportunity to be part of the local community and to engage with the school families. Some of the money raised at the event is donated towards our mission partners so please do save this date in your diary and come along to support this fantastic event.

May PCC Update

At our whole church Annual Meeting we committed to publishing the agenda for all PCC meetings before the meetings take place and to also provide a written update after the meeting (the PCC are the trustees responsible the running of our church). Weekly Prayer Points

Each week there will be a few things for our church life and church family that we can join in praying for:

1. Lord, we thank You for what You have blessed us with. We pray that You would continue to cultivate generosity in our hearts to glorify You. Please give us cheerful hearts that desire to give back to You and grateful hearts that are filled with thanks and praise.

2. We give thanks for the recent fund raising evening for Mercy Rescue Trust. We pray that the funds raised can bless the work of Mercy Rescue enabling them to provide the best care for abandoned babies.

3. This week we pray for the work that is happening at St Johns Church and for their leader Rev’d Will Harwood. We praise You for the different things that are happening within this ministry including Messy Church, Jericho Road and their Small Groups.
