Weddings Baptisms and funerals

Wanting to get married at Kea?

Kea Church is a beautiful Victorian Church a couple of miles south of Truro, off the A39 to Falmouth, and a perfect setting for your wedding. For further information please give the church office a call on 01872 262 868 for an initial discussion.

Wanting to be baptised at Kea?

In baptism, parents thank God for his gift of life, make a decision to start the child on the journey of faith and ask for the Church's support. Baptisms normally take place during a Sunday morning service, either at our 9.30am service in Truro or our 11.00am service at Kea, so the church congregation can welcome the child into the Church and declare their intention to support and pray for the child, parents and godparents.

If you live in the Parish of Kea you are automatically entitled to have your child baptised at Kea church. If you do not live in the Parish of Kea but have an association with Kea, please contact the office on 01872 262 868 to have an initial conversation with the Rev’d James Hills, fill in a Contact Us form, or just come along to one of our Sunday services.

Wanting to be confirmed?

Confirmation marks the point in the Christian journey when you affirm the faith for yourself into which you were baptised. We run a Youth Confirmation Course for 6 weeks in the Upper room, Kea Church Hall. If you would like more information on the course, or to find out dates of the next confirmation service, please contact Sarah Thrift, our Youth & Families Minister, on 01827 262868, or fill in the Contact Us form.

You will need to be baptised before you can be being confirmed.

Wanting to have your funeral at Kea or be buried in the graveyard at Kea church?

If you live or have lived at any time in the Parish of Kea you are normally automatically entitled to have your funeral at Kea Church and be buried in the Kea church graveyard. If your relative does not currently live in the Parish of Kea but they had an association with Kea, or, for example, their spouse or another relative is buried at Kea Church, it is likely they will be able to be buried at Kea.

In any event we would love to try and help so please contact the office on 01872 262 868 to have an initial conversation with our Curate, Rev’d James Hills. We also have a trained team of bereavement counsellors and living with loss group who are here to help you during this time, again please contact the office.
