Socials:
Once a month both groups get together and have a social activity. Having social times together as a youth group is a key part of the youth ministry at Kea Church, this provides time and space for the young people to build friendships with other Christians. We also like to create these events in such a way that they are relaxing for people to bring along their non-Christian friends. Social activities we have previously done include... Pancake day, film nights, beach trips, messy games, barbeques, pool parties, pizza making, sporting activities, chill out, and many more.

Youth Trips:
Some of our annual trips as a youth group include House Party, Soul Survivor and Creation Fest.
Soul Survivor and Creation fest are led by outside organisations that take place with 1000s of Christians, whereas House Party is organised by Kea.
Soul Survivor:
Soul Survivor is a huge Christian festival held at Shepton Mallet. 1000’s of Christians from all over the UK and even abroad gather together for a 5 day camping experience for young people to meet together, grow in their faith with God, go to lots of gigs, eat lots of donuts and chill out in cafes.
Creation Fest:
Creation Fest is based at the Royal Cornwall Showground. It’s a similar event to Soul Survivor but a lot more local. It has a range of sporting activities to do during the day and in the evening there are lots of bands see and enjoy. They also have guest speakers travelling down to take part in seminar sessions on a variety of themes.
House Party:
House Party is an event that is run once a year by Kea’s Youth Minister. It has similar aspects to events like Soul Survivor and Creation Fest. House Party is a weekend experience for Kea Youth to get away and spend time with each other and with God. We take time out to learn more about God and his work. We have relaxed sessions of worship and word in the mornings and evenings, followed by an action packed day of fun, games and chill out time.
