SKY Cell:
SKY Cell is for the 14-18’s age group, we meet weekly on a Thursday nights during term time. We have adopted the four W’s from the Cell Church model and are using these to structure our mid week meeting.
Welcome: We have a chance just to hang out with each other at the start and at the end of the session. This normally involves catching up, messing around and plenty of nibbles and hot chocolate!
Worship: The Young people take it in turns to lead worship this can be worship using some sort of media e.g. short film clip or a CD, music lead worship or a reflection on a Psalm. Prayer and praying for each other is another essential ingredient to our Thursday nights.
Word: We spend time studying Gods word; this involves talking, discussing and applying Gods word to our lives in a very practical and real way! We study various series or specific subjects, as youth leaders we are trying to “scratch were the young people are itching” responding to their needs and circumstances.
Witness: One of our aims as a group is to be outward looking and not to become insular and “naval gazing”. We are on a mission to reach our friends with the Gospel. Having social time in our programme to invite our non Christian friends to is a high priority.
