Our Vision
Our mission is "to love God and serve our neighbour". This is about taking the words of Jesus seriously and allowing our faith to make a difference to the way we live.
On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. "Teacher, he asked, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"
"What is written in the Law?" he replied. "How do you read it?"
He answered: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbour as yourself.'"
"You have answered correctly", Jesus replied. "Do this and you will live."
These two principles are at the heart of authentic Christianity and we want to recapture them in our community in Cornwall.
Love God
Our relationship with God is made stronger by:
Worship. When we worship, we come into God's presence and he changes our lives.
Prayer. God listens to our prayers and uses them to make a difference in the world.
Discipleship. All Christians are disciples - learning from Christ how to serve him and know him better.
Serve our neighbour
We want to serve those around us by:
Community action. The church does not exist purely for its own members. We demonstrate God's love when we unconditionally engage with the needs of our community.
Caring for each other. We show the reality of our Christian love by the way in which we relate to each other.
Mission. God's love reaches out to the whole world. Our mission is to reach as many people as we can with the amazing Gospel of Jesus Christ.
