Community

Our mission "to serve our neighbour" means we are committed to the community in which we live.

Christians Against Poverty

Christians Against Poverty aims to show God’s love in action by providing sustainable poverty relief through debt counselling, advice and practical help.  Through CAP's unique service, hundreds of people have been released from the fear and worry of debt and, in the process, come to know the love of God in their lives.

Our CAP centre at Truro offers confidential help to anyone in debt.  For more information email Natalie at nataliegavan@capuk.org, visit the CAP website, or call FREE on 0800 328 0006

Outreach

We run regular outreach events with the intention of showing God's love in a practical, fun, and non-pressured way.

At outreach events we make no charge for the services we offer to the community.  This is really important because God's love to us is free.

At Christmas we ran a stall offering free present wrapping to the late night shoppers in Truro.  The atmosphere was great and people responded really well to the offer.  Lots were intrigued as to why we wouldn't take any money and we had some interesting chats.  This is the third year the stall has run and we had a lot of "returning customers" who seem to appreciate the service!
